50/50 Rules of Play 2025/ 2026

The lottery by The Snowsuit Fund/ Le Fonds Habineige, 225 Donald St #134, Ottawa, ON K1K 1N1, will take place from November 24, 2025 online at www.5050forthecity.com.

Ticket purchasers must be 18 years or older and located in the province of Ontario at the time of purchase.

Tickets prices are: 

  • 5 tickets for $10

  • 25 ticket for $25

  • 100 tickets for $50

  • 500 tickets for $100

Tickets will be sold using an electronic raffle system supplied by BUMP, A Division of Canadian Bank Note Company, Ltd.

After purchasing, patrons will receive an email receipt with their 50/50 registered numbers from a Random Number Issuing System. No specific numbers can be given as numbers are generated randomly.

PRIZE DRAWS

All draws will take place online via the electronic raffle system. Winning ticket numbers will be selected by a Random Number Generator (RNG) system from all raffle numbers sold for the draw.  

The electronic raffle system will automatically select winners from all purchases made at the specified times below.   

Tuesday, December 2, 2025  

  • Hourly Draws from 6 AM - 9 PM at the top of each hour  

  • $100 gift cards (3 from each of the following) will be awarded in the following rotation

    • Giant Tiger

    • Gabriel Pizza

  • $5,000 Expedia Cruise Vacation is a Princess Cruises  Caribbean Cruise For 2 that includes return airfare from Ottawa to Miami or Fort Lauderdale (depending on the itinerary selected); a balcony stateroom for 2 people; transfers to and from the airport in Florida to the cruise port. Date is subject to the availability of the cabin.  type. Onboard expenses are not included. Retail Value: $5000 including taxes and fees.  Travel must be completed by December. 19, 2026.

  • The amount of the 50/50 will be monitored on 5050forthecity.com, and the grand prize awarded will be the greater of a $100,000 guaranteed jackpot or 50% of the total sales during the time of the draw.

  • Winning numbers will be announced on the website, social media channels, and broadcast live on radio. Winners will also be contacted directly by a representative from The Snowsuit Fund/Le Fonds Habineige via phone and/or email.

Winners may claim their prize by contacting The Snowsuit Fund/ Le Fonds Habineige at (613) 746-8719 or by email at 5050@snowsuitfund.com. The ticket may then be brought to 225 Donald St #134, Ottawa, ON, at an agreed-upon time for ticket verification. The winner will then be awarded the prize.

Winners must have the original winning ticket, not a copy. Gift cards and other prizes must be accepted as awarded and have no cash value.  Cash prizes will be paid by cheque.  

Winning ticket holders have 6 months in which to claim their prize from the date of the applicable draw.

The winner must provide photo identification and verify their phone number and address to claim their prize. Once a certified winner is verified and provides identification with a photo ID, they will be awarded their prize. If the winner cannot provide a photo ID, the prize will be held until such identification can be provided(up to a maximum of 6 months).

If a winner does not come forward, the prize will be kept and held for 6 months. After that time period has elapsed, the prize will be returned to The Snowsuit Fund/Le Fonds Habineige with the approval of the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO).
